Links to other bird population and habitat data will be added in the future.

Audubon
Christmas Bird Count
An all-day census
of early-winter bird populations across the Americas. Maintained
by the National Audubon Society.
Bird
Point Count Database
A database of bird
point count data collected in North America by Partners in Flight.

Breeding Bird Atlases
North American Breeding
Bird Atlas Explorer
The NBII Bird Conservation Node partners with the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center to develop the North American Breeding Bird Atlas (BBA) Explorer website, and the BBA Viewer, which provide access to results from multiple state and provincial Breeding Bird Atlas projects. The BBA Explorer website provides information on the methods used in each Breeding Bird Atlas project, and allows users to retrieve Atlas project results in a tabular form by species, block or region (e.g., by county). The BBA Viewer is a mapping application that allows users to map species results from multiple Breeding Bird Atlases in North America.
Breeding
Bird Atlas Projects
There is no one site that lists all atlas projects. However,
one of the most extensive lists of North American atlas projects on
the web is available through the Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas website.
North American Ornithological
Atlas Committee (NORAC)
This website, hosted by the American Birding Association, provides
information about Breeding Bird Atlases in North America, including
methods and lists of published atlas projects and current contacts for
projects in progress.
Digital Distribution Maps of the Birds of the Western Hemisphere
Electronic distribution maps (in ESRI shapefile format) of birds of the Americas available for download or for online viewing via NatureServe Explorer and InfoNatura. Developed by a consortium of partners and maintained by NatureServe.
Hawk
Mountain Sanctuary Hawk Count
Daily counts of raptors migrating over Hawk Mountain Sanctuary
each year from August through December. Maintained by Hawk Mountain Sanctuary.
Midwinter
Bald Eagle Count Web Site
A web site that provides access to raw data and summary information
resulting from Midwinter Bald Eagle Surveys conducted during 1986-2000.
Coordinated by USGS Forest and Rangeland Ecosystem Science Center - Snake
River Field Station.
Migratory
Bird Data Center
A Data Center that
warehouses and serves databases and web-based tools for several important
broad-scale bird surveys and programs including the Bird Point Count
Database, North American Breeding Bird Survey, Atlantic Flyway Breeding
Waterfowl Survey, Atlantic Flyway Sea Duck Survey, Mid-winter Waterfowl
Survey, Mexican Mid-winter Waterfowl Survey, Waterfowl Breeding
Population and Habitat Survey, American Woodcock Singing-ground Survey,
Mourning Dove Call-count Survey, and Duck Stamp Sales Database. This website is a collaboration between
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center.
Monitoring
Avian Productivity and Survivorship (MAPS) Program
A program that utilizes
constant-effort mist netting and banding, at a continent-wide network
of monitoring stations, to assess and monitor vital rates and population
dynamics of North American landbirds. Coordinated and maintained
by the Institute for Bird Populations.
Data Retrieval
North
American Breeding Bird Survey
Annual roadside
survey conducted in Canada and the United States to track the status
and trends of North American bird populations. Coordinated and
maintained by USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center and the Canadian
Wildlife Service.
